Visitor record on the SPS fair in Nuremberg

The SPS is the fair which does not only have established in the last few years but does attract more and more visitors every year. Also at HUGRO we can hark back on a great development and this year we had the most visitors for the last few years.Especially the corrugated tube, which we do have in our range since some time ago, has found the approval of our visitors. Additionally we concluded contracts with customers who want to assure their prices and demands for the next 24 months. The customer-oriented action which enables to have only one supplier for all corrugated tubes is very popular.

This year's fair in Hannover was a complete success. Our new Productfinder for cable glands with direct link to the appropriate 3D data were the main topic of conversation for our customers at the fair. Just in time for the SPS trade fair that took place at Nuremberg, HUGRO managed to make 3D data available to the public in an interesting presentation. The trade fair also demonstrated our successful cooperation with Cadenas and numerous customers had an opportunity to get first-hand information. In fact, the number of people flocking in was enormous at times and the freely available 3D data was greatly appreciated among our customers! The new online Cable Gland Product Finder also proved to be a topic of great interest that was talked about a lot. This useful tool has been implemented as part of the website relaunch in celebration of HUGRO’s 50th anniversary.

Despite the difficulties of arrival by plane because of the ash cloud of the Icelandic volcano Eyjafjallajökull our HUGRO booth was well attended. National and international partners were able to toast with a glass of champagne on the 50th anniversary of HUGRO.

This trade fair in Hannover was a resounding success for HUGRO! Our enclosures and of course our offer to supply customized versions were a constant topic of conversation at our stand. HUGRO and GEHAG have signed a contract granting HUGRO the exclusive distribution rights for the whole range of GEHAG enclosures in Germany. Adaptations for individual needs should mean that customers benefit hugely by economizing on processing times. HUGRO’s sales manager Ralf Kaszemek is sure that the enclosure’s technical design with its marked advantages over competing products – such as the snap lock and the integrated perforated plate – will boost sales in Germany. HUGRO is offering customized versions as well, i.e. the finished article including cable glands! Daniel Zimmermann, Managing Director of HUGRO and Ulrich Gessler, Managing Director of GEHAG, are looking forward to working together successfully.

We had announced our customization service for enclosures before the trade fair, and as a result a lot of interest was shown when we gave a live presentation there of plastic enclosures of various sizes. During the course of the trade fair more than 100 visitors obtained information from our stand, so for HUGRO the event was a huge success! We should like to thank all the numerous visitors and look forward to keeping up contact with them.

“Cable Glands & Co.”, “Information & Training”, “Introducing Our New Management” – these were just a few of the subjects on the agenda at the conference for HUGRO’s partners that was held in Waldkirch from 16.-17.10.2008. At the end of the official program, the participants still had time for a chat to get to know each other better – and enjoy a few of the tasty specialties the region has to offer. HUGRO’s cooperation with BoxCo AB in Sweden, with whom it has maintained close ties over many years now, has proved extremely valuable and is now producing tangible results. BoxCo AB is now the exclusive agent for HUGRO’s products in Sweden and Finland, under an agreement that has been signed by Alfred Pisch from HUGRO and Olle Edvinsson from BoxCo. – setting the course for continued success by both partners.

After a long period of close cooperation, HUGRO signed a contract on 01.06.2008 granting the Czech firm elpoco exclusive agency rights for the Czech market. elpoco's proprietor Mr. Pavel Kasina expressed how pleased he was at being able to continue the successful marketing of HUGRO’s products, as well as being the local point of contact for technical matters. For many years now, we have had a most successful partnership with the consulting engineer Mr. Mario Schneider, and this is now being extended. So far, Mr. Schneider has catered for HUGRO’s customers in the postcode areas 61, 63, 64 and 65, and this territory is now being expanded to include the postcode areas 54, 55 and 56. HUGRO’s manager Mr. Pisch and Mr. Schneider both signed an agreement on 17.04.2008, paving the way for their successful cooperation to continue.
